Kinect For Xbox 360 - A New Way To Play Games
Kinect for Xbox 360 is based on the web cam technology with a horizontal sensor bar that mirrors your movements. What makes it unusual from straight camera devices is that it allows you to play games without the requirement of a controller. That means the controller is yourself, through your body movement, your facial expressions and your voice. You can perform various acts depending on the game you play. For example, you can duck, spin, jump and a whole lot more.
Kinect Xbox is smarter than the basic web cam. The web cam detects the room in an invisible infrared light. It also observes approximately 48 points of the body to designate your movements on the TV screen in real time later on you are part of the game. The Kinect sensor is on a tilt base to search you around the room.
With the use of a 3D camera, it will actually be able to correctly model not only the area of your camera view a body is taking up, but also it will actually render a body in 3D space and project it in a virtual space accurately.
Microsoft have high hopes that their new Kinect games will win over the affections of casual gamers, where the quality of the games will be very important to success. Kinect’s hands-free gaming interface could well be Microsoft’s way of securing a piece of the massive casual games market.
Microsoft Kinect has a collection of games to suit any style of play. There are games for racers and games for dancers. There are games for treasure hunters and games for animal lovers. Each one is special because it’s designed to get you off the couch and into the game. Kinect games are created for full body play, so each one is as unique as the person playing them.
